The 3rd annual Pend Oreille Valley Bluegrass Festival is moving to the City Park in Newport Washington this year. It has been at the county fairgrounds in Cusick for the past two years. There's room for RV and tent campers, a good stage, and room for food and craft vendors. The dates are September 11-13, 2009, and RVers and jammers can show up as early as Monday the 7th. See you there!

Will Williams & Gravel Road, plus Custers Grass Band have agreed to come back and perform this year. We have a good mix of solid traditional bluegrass bands. Good Food, too! Frank Marmo, The Festival Gourmet will be back, and we'll also have The Freedom Wagon with Laura Chitwood providing lunch, and her famous huckleberry ice cream. The Pend Oreille Valley Bluegrass Festival, at the city park in Newport Washington, Sept. 11-13th, 2009, has been renamed "The Newport Music Festival". The Newport location, we're sure, will allow a lot more people to attend without having to drive a long distance out in the country. A great location! Hope to see all the NW Acoustic Music members there, and get to meet you in person! Jim C
