Hi Bonnie. Good to hear from you. I was at the Humanities Council today, and they are doing the final check for typos on the extensive liners notes (will include lyrics for the 27 songs). A designer is working on the layout. IHC have been bogged down with other stuff. The recording has been done for many months. I think you're gonna like what you see and hear when this comes out, hopefully in September. I think a LOT of people are going to see and hear this project.
I've been very busy with my IHC Speakers Bureau work and as the guitarist/vocalist/front guy in the two piece group Frozen Dogs (check bonafidaho.com) with Rue Frisbee, an outstanding fiddler. We do a lot of 20s-40s swing music. And three days at Weiser last week - an absolute blast, but it took three days to recover from the lack of sleep from playing so late (and early).
I have a song swap on July 20 at the USFS Gateway Campground near Kooskia for the retired USFS employees group. Stump Rancher Blues will for sure be on the set list. There's probably little chance you'll be in the area, but if you are stop by and sing that song and do some jammin'!
Regards - Gary

I'm going to try to make it over there to see you guys again. Goose Creek was a lot of fun last year, I even came in last in the fiddle contest! Jim C

Austin says we're playing at the Goose Creek Opry July 25 too. Just heard that myself so something else to look forward to!!

Hi Bonnie - Greetings from West Virginia, where I'm visiting Momma.

sorry you couldn't make it - but the weather wasn;t so good anyway in Moscow. We had a great time. Excellent audience and venue, and I didn't butcher too many songs. Stump Rancher Blues went over very well, as usual.

The CD basically is done, but Rick is still limping along on the liner notes. Hopefully he'll git'er dun before the end of February!

Regards - Gary

We (Heartbreak Pass) has an absolute blast opening for the Infamous Stringdusters July 22 in St. Maries! The setting there is beautiful and very conducive to bluegrass and outside performances. We had a great turnout...or maybe it was the Stringdusters, who knows?!...
and they are making plans to do this kind of thing on a regular basis in the future! There may even be a St. Maries Annual Bluegrass Festival in the future?!!!! Now, wouldn't that be awesome!!! Many thanks to Cliff Avery and crew for making this happen and work so smoothly!
