That was a cool place when both of our band's were there...but she let it slip away. Too bad, as there's not many venues out there on the Island for that. Networking and connecting with other musicians is so important - I'm doing a lot of that myself (but not hitting on them - HA). Speaking of that...somehow/someway (through getting to know the owner of where I'm playing)...as of the end of March I'm going to be coordinating/booking all his Friday night music. He's got a great venue and it's in the good community interest to get worthy musicians through that place - so, I want to help him grow that side of the biz. Should be interesting - we both agreed to an approach I suggested...good experience for both him and I. I'm building a FaceBook site for Daanen's Deli (it's not viewable yet)...but once it is, I'll send you a 'friend invite'...who knows, if you're ever over this way - and are looking for a Friday night gig - let me know ahead of time. Not bad for a solo performer (he pays $50, plus $1/person that comes in the door...plus a free meal and a beverage)...so - keep in touch. I've just played there twice so far...made some reasonable $'s including tips.

As you mentioned, I wish FB had this kind of capability...I'm not a fan of all the ads either. FB is good for the friend thang...for the 3 weeks or so I've been on it - its help me re-connect with all you music folks again (I disconnected for a year when I was chasing that 'tucson life')...glad that's over and I'm back up here. It'll be interesting to see how this music site progresses
