I am working on Old Dangerfield and Forked Deer. I tried Old Dangerfield without a capo and it sounds cool but it is a lot of work. I capo up to A in the G position and things go much better. Any thoughts?

My new email is stanleysixpicker@gmail.com , Heartbreak Pass has afew good gigs this summer but we will really get serious preparing for next summers festival season. Stan
Hi David, There are four of us that try to meet thur nights to jam. We are all beginners, but having fun. I some times make it up to the man cave for some picking with Dan Nall and Bob Waldbauer and they are great help. Hopefully in the near future we will be ready for the real world of Jaming with you pros. Randy
Davido, what are you up to these days ? whats the band doin ? We are doing a big debut at the Sat. night Bluegrass Thang at University H.S in Spokane Valley with our new band " Heart Break Pass" on the 21st of Mar. We'd welcome any support from our Yakima Bluegrass buddies !
That is Mr. Jim Hurst, He stops by for a lesson when ever he's in town, we're pretty tight Jim and me , I gotta say, he catch's on quick . Really though, I flew to Portland when he was doing a siminar over there in Steve Blanchards territory. What a great guy, homegrown and down to earth, seemed like I knew him all my life just after I met him. As a matter of fact brother, you and him are much the same in that respect. Hey are you gonna make iy over to see Prarie Flyer at Cashmere ?? I'm working in Moses Lake so I think I'm gonna try to catch that one. Bonnie is sittin in for Dave on bass on one of their gigs this summer. I need to call ya so we can talk, ..................
Yes I do learn many from ear. I have to chuckle, the rest of our jam group don't care for alot of my favorite picks. I was real glad they liked Big Sciota. I use a slow down program to work out many of my songs. Some may call it cheating, but it works for me :-) ....I must head to work...Bye
I have been working on Big Sciota; Kitchen Girl; Goldbrickin' (Del McCoury song); Winderslide. I plan on picking up the new Michael Cleveland CD. He has some great tunes on that one....
How much snow you ask? TOO MUCH! I've plowed snow, shoveled snow, pushed snow, cursed snow...and it's still here! Eat, sleep, plow, ...eat, sleep, plow...I used to have a life!!! We'll miss it when it's 102 degrees next summer!! Let's keep in touch and maybe I can get Stan together to come that way and jam sometime!
Hi Dave! Cool to see you on this site! ... but no photo of you? Are ya afraid that everyone will think Stan put in two photos of himself?! Hope to see ya in the near future. Hi to Tarrin!
