Nominations!
I am attending the CIA (Christian Independent Alliance) Summit at the end March 25-28 in Nashville – This is the premier conference for Christian Independent Artists that happens once a year. I am SO excited to announce that I have been nominated for FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR and ALBUM OF THE YEAR! This is such an amazing honor! I had a great time showcasing and though I didn't win any awards, just to be nominated was amazing - and I received a ton of affirmation as an artist and songwriter. It's great to know I am living out what I'm called to do!

- Maybe if an email campaign got off the ground to point out to these fine folks that the name CIA is already taken...They'll probably listen to you, though, because you're their artist of the year! Seriously, I wonder if anyone in this organization was thinking when they named it the CIA? It's kind of a no-brainer to see that it's not a very good marketing name. And might be illegal, too. Good Luck and have fun in Nashville!

- Actually, that's funny cause I was thinking the same thing - but Christian Independent Artists Alliance - I'll mention it - I don't know if they'll take this little person's advice, but I agree : )

- Hi Kate, While you're in Nashville, maybe you could convince the association to change it's name to Christian Independent Musicians Alliance (CIMA). It might be confusing to announce in your promos that you've won the "Female Vocalist of the Year" awarded by the CIA. Some people might get the wrong idea.
